Anthony Maddalena’s New Module Tackles the Question Reps Skip: Who Should You Even Be Calling?

Confidence on the phone only gets you so far if you’re dialing the wrong company. That’s the gap Anthony Maddalena’s second module inside SenPro Gym is built to close.

His first module dealt with the mindset behind prospecting: call reluctance, apologetic openers, and the habits that keep you dialing when motivation doesn’t show up. Module two picks up where that leaves off, and asks a question most reps never slow down enough to answer properly: who is actually worth calling in the first place?

What’s Inside Module Two

What’s the difference between a qualified and a suitable prospect?

A qualified prospect is a clear fit: the right size, the right problem, ready to buy. A suitable prospect isn’t there yet, but shouldn’t be crossed off either, since they could become a real opportunity with the right timing or trigger. Most teams only sort into fit or no fit, and lose the middle ground in the process.

Anthony’s module adds that middle tier deliberately, so reps stop narrowing the list too aggressively while still naming the accounts that will only churn later if pursued too soon.

Who should sales reps prioritize calling?

Prioritize the accounts with timing, fit, and a pain they’re ready to act on now, not just the ones who could technically buy from you someday. Potential without urgency is a slow deal or no deal; priority is what turns a target list into a working pipeline.

Plenty of companies could technically become customers. The module walks through why chasing every technical fit equally is exactly how reps end up with a full calendar and an empty pipeline, and how to spot which accounts actually deserve the next call.

What are buying trigger events in B2B sales?

A buying trigger is a change inside a company that creates urgency to solve a problem it was previously living with. New leadership, a merger, or a current supplier falling short are all common examples, since each one reopens a decision that was otherwise settled.

Anthony walks through how to spot these moments, then work out who owns the problem, who feels it day to day, and who controls the budget, so the trigger turns into an actual conversation rather than a missed window.

Mapping the buying group before it sinks the deal

One person rarely decides alone. Anthony’s approach is to ask early how the decision actually gets made and who else is involved, because the stakeholders you don’t know about are the ones who show up late and stall everything.

Building a better list

The module closes with a practical exercise: building your own ideal prospect profile across organization, situation, pain, people, trigger, and value, then pointing it at the industries where the problem is most urgent, not just the ones you could technically sell into.

“More calls isn’t the fix if they’re going to the wrong people,” said Sam Fryer, Co-CEO of SentientPro. “Anthony’s given our members a way to work out who’s actually worth their time before they pick up the phone. That’s the difference between a full calendar and a full pipeline.”

Why It’s Worth a Look

Module two is live now inside SenPro Gym, sitting right alongside Anthony’s first module for members who want to go from getting on the phone to getting on the right phone calls. Between the two, it’s a genuinely practical run-through of prospecting from the mindset to the target list.

If your team is spending more time dialing than closing, this is worth the ten minutes.
